A dynamic model of the PM machine allows powerful control-theoretic techniquessuchaslinearizationtobeappliedtothesystem.ExistingexactfeedbacklinearizationofdynamicmodelofPMSM su?ersfromsingularityissues.Inthispaper,weproposeaquadraticlinearizationapproachforPMSMbasedontheapproximate linearizationtechniquewhichdoesnotintroducesingularities.AMATLABsimulationisusedtoverifythee?ectivenessofthe linearizationtechniqueproposed.Also,toaccountforhigher-orderandunmodelleddynamicsofPMSM,tuningofthelinearizing transformationisproposedandveri?edusingsimulation. 1.Introduction controltheoriestobebroughttobearontheproblemofthe control of PM machine.
