As a consequence, we proveforarelatedproblemofconformaldeformationofmetricsinRn+thatifasolution satis?es aKazdan-Warner-type identity,thentheconformal metric canberealizedasa smoothmetriconSn+. 1.Introduction Inrecentyearstherehasbeenahugeinterestinstudyingpropertiesofthepositivesingu- larsolutionsuofthescalarcurvatureequation ?u+k(x)u (n+2)/(n?2)=0 u(x)0, u∈C B1 inB1 \{0}, (1.1) 2 \{0} , wherek(x)isasmoothpositivefunctionandB1istheunitballofRn,withn≥3.
