Wepresent asort ofKorovkin-type result that provides atool toobtain asymptotic formulae for sequences oflinearpositiveoperators. 1.Introduction Thispaperdealswiththeapproximationofcontinuousfunctionsbysequencesofpositive linear operators. In this setting, on studying a sequence of operators, say Ln, one usually intendstoprove?rstlythatthesequencede?nesanapproximationprocess;thatis,foreach function f of some space, Lnf converges to f, in a certain sense as n tends to in?nity; afterwards,onesearchesforquantitativeresultsthatestimatethedegreeofconvergence,and ?nallyonemeasuresthegoodnessoftheestimates,mainlythroughinverseandsaturation results.
