Introduction.Sensitiveandspeci?cimagingofpancreascancerarenecessaryforaccuratediagnosis,staging,andtreatment.The vastmajorityofpancreascancersexpressthecarbohydratetumorantigenCA19-9.Thegoalofthisstudywastodeterminethe potentialtotargetCA19-9witharadiolabeledanti-CA19-9antibodyforimagingpancreascancer.Methods.CA19-9wasquanti?ed using ?ow cytometry on human pancreas cancer cell lines. An intact murine anti-CA19-9 monoclonal antibody was labeled withapositronemittingradionuclide(Iodine-124)andinjectedintomiceharboringantigenpositiveandnegativexenografts. MicroPET/CT were performed at successive time intervals (72 hours, 96 hours, 120 hours) after injection.
