Methods:Sevensinglenucleotidepolymorphisms(SNPs)infourimportantVEGF-independentangiogenicgenes(ANGPT1, AMOT,DLL4andENG)weregenotypedinaChinesepopulationwith408CRCpatients. Results:OneSNP,rs1954727inANGPT1,wassignificantlyassociatedwithCRCoverallsurvival.Comparedtopatientswith thehomozygouswild-typegenotypeofrs1954727,thosewithheterozygousandhomozygousvariantgenotypesexhibited afavorableoverallsurvivalwithahazardratio(HR)of0.89(95%confidenceinterval[CI]0.55–1.43,P=0.623),and0.32(95% CI0.15–0.71,P=0.005),respectively(Ptrend=0.008).Instratifiedanalysis,thisassociationremainedsignificantinpatients receiving chemotherapy (P trend=0.012), but not
