WestudiedlinesoftheprotozoanparasiteLeishmania(L.)donovaniwithdifferentialsusceptibilitytoantimonialdrugs;the linesbeingderivedfromclinicalisolatesbelongingtotwodistinctgeneticpopulationsthatcirculateintheleishmaniasis endemic region of Nepal. Parasite pathways known to be affected by antimonial drugs were characterised on five experimental levels in the lines of the two populations.
