We evaluated theprevalence of kidney disease amongHIV-infectedanduninfectedRwandanwomen. Methods:TheRwandanWomen’sInterassociationStudyandAssessmentprospectivelyenrolled936women.Associations with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR),60mL/min/1.73m2 and proteinuria were assessed in separate logistic regressionmodels. 2 Results:Among891non-pregnantwomenwithavailabledata,2.4%hadaneGFR,60mL/min/1.73m (calculatedbythe ModificationofDietinRenalDiseaseequation,MDRDeGFR)and8.7%hadproteinuria$1+.Theprevalenceofdecreased eGFR varied markedly depending on the estimating method used, with the highest prevalence by Cockcroft-Gault.
