Casepresentation:Thecaseofatype-1diabeticwomanisreported,inwhomCRPSIfollowingacalcaneal fracturewasmistakenforCharcot’sosteoarthropathy(becauseofbonemarrowedemadisplayedbyconventional MRimaging).Inaddition,areviewispresentedon6consecutivecaseswithCRPSIofthefoot,andon20cases withCharcot’sfootstage0,withparticularemphasisonMRimagingfindings.Thenumberofbonesperfoot affectedwithmarrowedemawassimilarineithercondition,withatendencytowardsamorepatchy,diffuse distributionofbonemarrowedemainCRPSI.Bonemarrowedemaapparentlyregressedmorepromptlyin responsetotreatmentinCharcot’sfootstage0.
