Method:Thepatientwasa51-year-oldmanwithrepeatedrecurrenthemangiopericytomaintheskullbase.We performedCholine-PETinthispatientaftervarioustreatmentsandcomparedfindingswiththoseofFDG-PET. Results:Cholineaccumulatedinthistumor,butFDGdidnotaccumulate.Wediagnosedthistumorasresidual hemangiopericytomaandperformedtheresectionoftheresidualtumor.FDG-PETisnotappropriateforskullbase tumordetectionbecauseuptakeinthebrainisverystrong. Conclusion:WeemphasizetheusefulnessofCholine-PETforthedetectionofresidualhemangiopericytomainthe skullbaseaftervarioustreatments,comparedwithFDG-PET.
