Thegenomesequencesandorganizationinmicroorganismsshouldbetheresultofevolutionandadaptation influencedbymutation,geneduplication,horizontalgentransfer(HGT)andrecombination.Furthermore,the nearlyneutraltheoryofevolutionsustainsthatgeneticmodificationofDNAcouldbeneutralorselected,albeit mostmutationsshouldbeattheborderbetweenneutralityandselection,i.e.slightlydeleteriousbasesubstitutions inDNAarefollowedbyaslightlyadvantageoussubstitutions. Results:ThisarticlereportsthegenomesequenceofH.boliviensis.ThechromosomesizeofH.boliviensiswas4 119979bp,andcontained3863genes.Atotalof160genesofH.boliviensiswererelatedtocarbohydrate transportandmetabolism,andwereorganizedas:70genesformetabolismofcarbohydrates;47genesforABC transportsystemsand43genesforTRAP-typeC4-dicarboxylatetransportsystems.ProteinsequencesofH. boliviensisrelatedtocarbohydratetransportandmetabolismwereselectedfromclustersoforthologousproteins (COGs).Similarproteinsderivedfromthegenomesequencesofother41archaeaand59bacteriawereusedas reference.Wefoundthatmostofthe160genesinH.boliviensis,c.a.44%,wereobtainedfromotherbacteriaby horizontalgenetransfer,while13%ofthegeneswereacquiredfromhaloarchaeaandthermophilicarchaea,only 34%ofthegenesevolvedamongProteobacteriaandtheremaininggenesencodedproteinsthatdidnotcluster withanyofth
