Reform and opening up to now, in generation after generation continued efforts of educators, teaching of English in China has made marked improvement in English, the phenomenon of the deaf has also been some improvement, but this phenomenon still exists, in order to drop as much as possible to this phenomenon to a minimum, the State Department of Education launched a series of reform measures: training in teaching materials to increase the proportion of hearing; in 46 examinations has increased the listening test scores. Independent Colleges as a new force of China’s colleges and universities are also efforts to adapt to the reform trend.
I use survey and the reason for the weakness of English Listening conducted a survey targeted at Nanchang University of Science and Technology College of 100 non-English majors (including in English listening test results well in the poor students). Through surveys, obtained the following information:
(1) lack of knowledge; (2) partial hard materials; (3) foundation is not solid; (4) background knowledge is not enough; (5) the unity of teaching methods; (6) skills proficient; (7) lack of exercise.
I careful analysis of the above reasons, that could be from the following aspects:
