Glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) has been widely used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in recent years, and numerous experimental and clinical trials suggested that GLP-1 not only reduced postprandial blood glucose, but also had hypolipidemic effects, reduced the weight, improved endothelial function, decreased blood pressure and other cardiovascular protection function, such as anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress.
