Generation
One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it; the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with bearing. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done; and there is no new thing under the sun.
棗The Bible:Eccles iastes;1:4-9

13:8 Though the prophet’s word may come to an end, tongues come to nothing, and knowledge have no more value, love has no end.
13:4 爱是恒久忍耐,又有恩慈。爱是不嫉妒,不自夸,不张狂;
13:5 不作失礼的事,不求自己的益处,不轻易动怒,不计较人的过犯;
Principles
How can our principles become dead, unless the impression (thought) which correspond to them are extinguished? But it is in thy power continuously to fan these thoughts into a flame. I can have that opinion about anything, which I ought to have. If I can, why am I disturbed? The things which are extenal to my mind have no relation at
