Abstract At present, the historical relics of China are great and huge quantity, bearing the essence of Chinese ancient culture, showing the charm of Chinese culture. In the process of Chinese culture to the world, the English translation work of cultural relics is very important, about the English translation work of cultural relics, many scholars have their original view, but in our country, the exploration about cultural relics is also very few. Such as, many experts point out the problem about the English translation work of urban street in Beijing, until now, the study of translation norms always emphasize on traditional translation, the cultural phenomenon study in translation process is lack. The translation report divides into six parts. First is the introduction of the translation object, include the time of the tri-colored glazed pottery and the inlaying technology. Part two expound the translation process. Part three is the translation theory; include the domestication and the dissimilation used in the translation report. Part four is the principle of the management of the words and sentence. Part five expound the quality that translator should have. At last expound my translation experience. Key Words: cultural relics; tri-colored glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty; the gold-inlaid panther seat; English translation I 摘 要 当前中国的历史文物数量巨大，种类繁多，承载着中华古老文化的精华，展示着中 国文化的独特魅力。就在中国文化走向世界的过程中，我们文物的英译工作日益显示出 其重要性。围绕我国历史文化的英译活动，不乏有识之士点拨迷途，但国内所见的相关 讨论多数仅限于零散的点上，例如，不断有专家指出北京城市街道的英译名的统一问题， 尚不能达到理论高度；国内翻译规范的研究，到目前为止仍侧重传统的翻译研究，对语 言翻译过程中所涉及的文化现象研究不够。而把焦点集中在我国文物英译规范的系统研 究的努力少之又少。 报告分为六部分，第一部分是翻译对象的介绍，包括唐三彩和错金技术产生的年代 和背景。第二部分主要阐述是我个人的翻译过
