M ethods The whole quality was valued by cold- soaked extraction way. TLC scanning w as used to determine tanshinoneÒ-A. UV-spectropho- tometric method was used to determine the salvianolic acids. R esults There were some dist inctions in t he qualit y of radix salviae from different habitats and species. There w as little relativity betw een watersoluble ingredient and liposoluble ingredients. Conc l u- sion To make the best use of radix salviae, appropriate radix salviae should be chosen for different aims.
