M ethods Data com es from the 2008 National Survey on Youth R isk B ehav iors. T otally 51 250 subjects in totalw ere random ly selected from colleges in 27 provinces. F ive item s of b inge d rink risk beh aviorsw ere analy ed. Results The preva lence of lifetmi e d rink was 87. 4% and 75. 1% , of curren t drink w ere 66. 1% and 34. 2% , of frequen t drinkw ere 5. 7% and 4. 3% , of b inge drink w ere 37. 4% and 11. 6% , of h eavy b inge drink w ere 2. 8% and 0. 9% , of d runk ennessw ere 42. 2% and 19. 5% , asw ell as of heavy drunkenness w ere 10. 8% and 2. 4% , form ales and fem ales, respectively. For both the genders, the prevalence of all th e five item s of b inge d rink behaviorsw ere h ighest in the group who began to d rink before 13yearold, and follow ed by the group of 14to15yearold and the group old er th an 16yearold.
