What he bought yesterday are three books. (主语从句) Each time it seemed (that) there’d be one more of us. 每次都好像还要再搬一次似的. seem的结构: ( 1 ) .It seems that …似乎,好像 ( 2 ). It seems as if /though … ( 3 ). There seems to be … ( 4 ) … seems + to be +形容词/名词/词短语 /分词 ( 5) ... seems + 不定式(to do..) It seems as if/though… 好象… e.g. 1. It seems as if you are the first one to be here. (与事实可能相符) 2. It seemed as if he had just stepped out of a fairly book. (与事实不相符) () () 1. She seems to be an unusually clever girl. 2. It seemed that everyone was happy. 3. It seem s as if / though you are the first one here. 4. There seems to be no reason for believing him. For example: By the time we got to Mango Street we were six... 本句为主从复合句,by the time 引导时间状语从句。by the time 可以看做是引导时间状语从句的从属连词。 By the time 的用法: (1)by the time 引导的从句用一般现在时时,主句通常用将来完成时。 By the time they get there , we will have finished the work. (2) by the time 引导的从句用一般过去时,主句通常用过去完成时。 The movie had begun by the time we got there. (3)by the time 引导的从句用一般过去时,主句有时也用一般过去时。此时by the time常常表示“在…的时候;到…的时候”,主句 则用于说明某种状态的存在。 By the time the alarm went off , I was awake. 当闹钟铃响时,我已经醒了。 5. That’s why Mama and Papa looked for a house… why 引导表语从句在从句中作状语,表示结果。 because 引导表语从句在从句中作状语,表示原因。 reason 作主语时表语从句一般用that引导 e.g. Why 引导表
