Result shows that this ap- proach allows students to master the basic principles and knowledge of plant taxonomy by cha- racterising the plant’s appearance and fragrance. It gives students a brand-new understanding of differences between species, greatly improves their ability of practice as well as comprehensive analysis, and lays a solid foundation for their further study on identification and clinical pharmacy of Chinese medicine.
