He did not enjoy the play. 3、Who was sitting behind him? A young man and a young woman were sitting behind him. 4、Were they talking loudly ,or were they talking quietly ? They were talking loudly. 5、Could the writer hear the actors or not? The writer could not hear the actors. 6、Did he turn round or not? He turned round. 7、What did he say? I cant hear a word!he said. 8、Did the young man say ,“the play is not interesting” or did he say ,“this is a private conversation”? This is a private conversation!the young man said. Exercises Because they were talking loudly so that the writer could not hear the actors. A private Coversation Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjoy it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly. I got very angry. I could not hear the actors. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the end, I could not bear it. I turned round again. ‘I can’t hear a word !’ I said angrily . ‘It’s none of your business,’ the young man said rudely. ‘This is a private conversation!’ 1、private /praivit/ adj.私人的 Its my private letter. private school 私立学校 private life 私生活 ---------privacy n. 隐私 public公众的、公开的 public letter 公开信 public place 公共场所 2、conversation[,k?nv?se???n] 1) conversation:比较正式,用于书面语 Theyre having a conversation.
