TRP channels arew idely distributed and activated by multiple stmi ul.i eanwhile, as the sensor to the changes in cellular local environments, TRP channels havemultiple functions, including thermal, mechanical and taste sensing, aswell as ion homeostasis maintaining. They can regulatemuscle contractions, transmitter release, cellmultiplication, cell differ entiation, genetic transcription, apoptosis and molecular death. TRP 8, a nonselective cation channe,l was originally cloned as a prostatespecific protein. Now, TRP 8 is found in carcinoma of colon, lung cancer, mammary cancer, and cutaneum carcinoma.
