Chinahas a long recorded history of tapping crude gum.As early as 1700 years ago there had been such record in the ancient book “Sheng Nong Code of Medical Herbs”, while the actual industrial processing of gum rosin has ahistory of more than 80 years.In 1922, crude gum was made into gum rosin in Heyuan County, Guangdong Province, which started the history of Chinese gum rosin industrial production.Since the foundation of thePeoples Republicof China, Chinese gum rosin industry has gained great development and the output of gum rosin hasincreased from more than 12 kt at the early days of new China to more than 500 kt in recent years(as shown in T
