解析新闻编译者的多重主体身份 　　【摘 要】翻译研究应该更多关注对翻译活动的主体――“译者”。在Norman Fairclough（1992）所提出的关于话语的社会理论框架下，本文依托文化传播研究、阐释学、符号学，剖析了新闻编译者的三重主体身份。在社会实践层面，编译者表现为特定文化意识形态的主体；在话语实践层面编译者承担着“编辑/译者/传播者”的角色；在文本层面编译者则成为“译码者/编码者”。解析编译者的多重主体身份，有助于理顺新闻编译这一话语实践中所集结的多重社会关系，并揭示跨文化传播中新闻编译语篇的建构。 　　【关键词】话语 编译者 身份 　　Investigating the Multiple Identities of the Editor-Translator of News Discourse 　　Hu Weiwei 　　【Abstract】It is contended in this thesis that more research attention should be devoted to translator, the subject of translation activities. With the social theory on discourse proposed by Norman Fariclough （1992） as a analytic framework, this thesis draws on cross-cultural communication theories, hermeneutics, and semiotics so as to investigate the triple roles of the editor-translator of news discourse. In accord with the three layers of discourse concerning social practices, discursive practices and text, the editor-translator of news discourse represents himself as respectively a subject with a particular cultural-ideological identity, an editor-translator-communicator, and a decoder-encoder. The investigation of the triple roles of the editor-translator helps to disentangle the multiple social relations tangled in the discursive practices of condensed news translation, so as to shed light on the construction of the edited-translated version of news discourse. 　　【Key words】DiscourseEditor-translatorIdentity 　　 　　一、导 言 　　 　　翻译研究历来关注译者“应该如何”，但是对译者“是什么”却缺乏足够的探索，这一点在新闻编译中表现尤为明显。本文在Norman Fairclough（1992）所提出的关于话语的社会理论指导下，依托跨文化传播研究、阐释学、符号学，将新闻编译置于“文本、话语实践（生产，分配，消费）、社会实践”这样一个三位一体、共核并有着层级蕴涵关系的框式，并采取由外而内的顺序，层层深入地探讨编译者在这三个层次中所分别担当的角色。在社会实践层面，探讨编译者的文化意识形态主体身份；在话语实践层面探讨编译者作为“编辑/译者/传播者”的角色；在文本层面从符号学的观点解析编译者作为“译码者/编码者”的角色。研究编译者的多重主体性，有助于理顺、剖析新闻编译这一话语实践中所集结的多重社会关系，并揭示编译语篇在跨文化传播语境中的建构。 　　 　　二、剖析新闻编译者的多重角色 　　 　　新闻编译是一项复杂的跨文化传播活动，它以新闻文本为载体，经由特定传媒机构组织，通过编译者实现意义在不同文化意识形态体系之间的解读和传递。在这一复杂的跨文化话语实践中，编译者直接进行对原作新闻文本的选择、编辑、翻译甚至改写等活动，其重要性不言而喻；然而新闻编译者的身份是一个十分敏感的文化问题，并带有政治色彩。鉴于新闻编译活动中编译文本的凸显和编译者的隐身，本文从话语与社会的角度切入
