They may study the formation or parts of the word, or they may make use of definition, its synonym or antonym provided by the author to work out its meaning. Determining meaning through context is the most effective method for handling unknown words. Effectively （1）有效地；生效地 eg. Children have to learn to communicate effectively. （2）实际上，事实上 eg.
