Objective To study the effect of hy ertriglyceridaemia, hy ercoagulability and hy ofibri nolysis on ex erimental femoral head necrosis( FHN) induced by corticoid ethods 18 New Zealand rabbits w ere injected intravenously w ith LPS tw ice every 24 hours.After t he second injection, MP was given IM three t imes daily . 12 hours before and after each injection, T G, Tch, HDL, APTT , PLG, AT∀ and ATPL w ere de tected; the same detections were done at 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks after the last injection. ResultsHy ertriglyceridaemia, hy ercoagulability and hy ofibrinolysis a eared after LPS w ere given. When LPS was given together w ith M P, the effect on the above mentioned results w as intensified, and there w as correlation in between the aram eters.Ty ical osteonecrosis occurred in the femoral head.A large amount of fatty embolisms and thrombosis w ere detected in the subchondrol venous channels. Conclusion Ex erimental FHN could be roduced w hen hormone w as added to Shwartzman reaction. Both LPS and MP could bring serum hy ertriglyceridaemia, hy ercoagulability and hy ofibrinolysis, and t here was obvious correlation in betw een them.
