Web of Science簡介 Web of Science (簡稱 WOS) 為美國 Thomson-ISI 於 1997 年間建置之網際網路版引用文獻索引資料庫系統，提供使用者理、工、醫、農、人文、及社會科學等各學科領域之文獻書目、作者摘要、及引用文獻等資料。該系統收錄期刊超過 9,000 種，每週更新其內容，每年提供超過 110 萬筆書目及2300 萬筆引用文獻資料。本資料庫特有之文獻間相互引用關係檢索，不但提供研究人員更完整之研究參考資訊，更可依循前人研究軌跡，進一步瞭解同儕及競爭對手之研究。 WOS本次開放試用下列二項資料庫： Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) 收錄科學技術類期刊計6000餘種，涵蓋主題約150餘種。收錄年限自1945年起，1991年起之資料含作者摘要。 Social Sciences Citation Index（SSCI） 收錄社會科學技術類期刊計1700餘種，涵蓋主題約50餘種。收錄年限自1956年起，1992年起之資料含作者摘要。 .tw/fdb/wos/index.html UpToDate 臨床醫學資料庫簡介 UpToDate is a one of a kind web-based clinical information resource, designed to answer physician’s clinical questions in less than a minute. Compared with the other alternative sources of web-based clinical information, which is always based on aggregation, UpToDate synthesizes important, relevant and current information by well over 3000 credible and qualified professional physicians. They skillfully summarized important findings from reputable and credible medical journals, along with their respective opinions, comments and recommendations. It is developed, written and presented by doctors for doctors. UpToDate covers twelve completed medical specialties and subspecialties written at the specialist level. UpToDate is complete in the following twelve (12) specialties: Adult Primary Care Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Medicine Endocrinology Diabetes Gastroenterology Hepatology Hematology Infectious Diseases Obstetrics Gynecology Oncology Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Nephrology Hypertension Rheumatology Family Practice Allergy Immunology, Pediatrics, and Neurology are in development. Pediatrics expected release is in version 12.2, which is around the July and August period 2004. UpToDate consists of over 6000-topic review, written exclusively for UpToDate, by over 3000 contributing UpToDate authors. No other clinical reference database has access to this original content – it is written solely for UpToDate. New versions of UpToDate are released on a quart
