Pharmacological College of Lanzhou University，Lanzhou 730000，China)Abstract] Objective To investigate the significance of the association between triglyceride and the cardiac and cerebral vascular events in familial hypertriglyceridemia and to provide a basis in intervention at early stage,prevention and control of familial hypertriglyceridemia. Methods Data were from National Science and Technology Major Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China during the “10th Five-Year Plan”, choosing familial hypertriglyceridemia pedigrees meeting the diagnostic criteria, collecting laboratory and clinical data from April 2004 to March 2013 in10 years ,observing the incidence of cardiac and cerebral vascular events. Results All family members were followed up for 10 years. Ⅲ 1 died due to hemorrhagic stroke in the first year; Ⅲ 3 died due to hemorrhagic stroke in the third year; the rest did not happen cardiac and cerebral vascular events in Family 1. All members did not happen cardiac and cerebral vascular events in Family 2. Conclusion Familial hypertriglyceridemia did not happen cardiac and cerebral vascular events. The incidence increased with the presence of hypertension and other risk factors.
