These three research 企ontiers offer a new path to an understanding of the mechanisms of leisure behavior. The new pa由 could integrate sociocultural factors such as background, social networking as inte甲ersonal elements, and behavioral practices as intrapersonal elements. Based on space-time behavioral theories , we further provide research contents and approaches for urban leisure studies. These include the reconceptualization of space-time scales for leisure behavior，吐le exteQ.sion from actual behavior to potential behavior, and the coordination between causal analysis and situation simulation. Finally, we include a proposed research framework for urban leisure studies based on individual space-time behavior. The 企amework bridges the temporal spec仕um 企om day to year and the spatial spec位um from city to globe. lt links daily leisure and non-daily tourism behavior, and considers both actual and potential practices , thus enriching the existing research on leisure by integrating spatial and temporal dimensions. As an outcome of the theoretical work, we conclude with an extensive discussion of topics on physical and psychological processes of leisure behavior, and the potential value for leisure economy and health research. Though research on leisure space-time behavior cannot cover all aspects of urban leisure behavior, it can provide a valuable path 岛r linking multidiscipline , multiscale and multitopic in future prospects.
