Results: The positive rates of fungal infection of fungal keratitis detected by KOH based smear and fungal culture were 97.1% (99/102) and 94.9% (93/98), respectively, and there was no significant difference in the fungal detection efficiency between the two methods (Pgt; 0.05). The pathogenic fungi belonged to 18 genus and 33 species, of which, Fusarium, Curvularia and Aspergillus accounted for 36.6%, 27.9% and 7.5%, respectively.
