Abstract th In November, 2001, China joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in the 4 WTO Membership Conference which was held in Doha, Qatar. After 13-year efforts, China has accomplished the multilateral negotiat ions with all countries that propose requests for negotiation, and reached an agreement with the United State of America in major tariff barrier s, non-tariff barriers, market access, agriculture, and information industry, and obtained the qualification of member nation in the end after submitting the related documents like the protocol draft for accession to the WTO and report of working group through the National Peoples Congress . After China’s WTO entry, Chinese products can enjoy multilateral, unconditional and stable most-favored-nation treatment in more than 100 contracting parties and regions, and other special concerns for the developing countries; The special bodies and procedures of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the WTO can be fully used to better resolve trade disputes; The right to speak can be obtained in the multilateral trade organizations. It is thus obvious that China’s WTO entry can make enormous changes occur in Chinese trade conditions and investment environment. Therefore, Chinas WTO entry not only plays a positive role in the growth of Chinese economy, increment of foreign direct investment, enhancement of the industrial competitiveness and optimization of the trade structure, but also exerts great influence on the development of Korea-China trading tie .
