全国公共英语等级考试(pets)简介（National Public English test (pets)） National Public English test (PETS) In order to meet the needs of social development, to provide student services for the majority of foreign language learning, and promote the quality education from the examination oriented education on foreign language teaching in China, improve the national language quality, sponsored by the national Ministry of education, launched the first national public English test in the country (Public English test system, referred to as PETS). The examination was supported by the British Overseas Development Agency (ODA) and its British language testing experts, which made the examination more authoritative. PETS examination is an opening to the society of the examination system, is the reference level for examination candidates to provide the target, it follows the scientific, fair and accurate and normative principles, with particular emphasis on the students communicative competence, including written and oral exam, candidates for listening and speaking, reading and writing. To conduct a comprehensive examination, written and oral examinations are eligible, issued by the Ministry of Education Examination Center for the National English examination certificate certificate. The certificate is not only an authoritative proof of the English proficiency of the holder, but also a fair and unified evaluation standard for the English proficiency of the personnel employed by the local units. The PEST test has five levels and one subsidiary level. The five levels are: first level (including level 1 (B), subsidiary level), level two, level three, level Four, and level five.
