In telephone sales, the first call to an unknown customer is a challenge for most telephone salespeople. But for experienced telephone salespeople, strange phone calls have become a habit, and nothing can be done to them. One of the hot issues they care about has shifted, and one of them is how to maintain long-term relationships with customers. There are many ways to stay in touch with our clients for a long time. Today we will focus on how to make a follow-up call.
Lets take an example to illustrate that when we start a conversation with some clients on the phone, the customer might say, OK, you give me some information.. And when a telemarketing person calls and follows up after sending an e-mail, there may be a scenario like this:
Sales staff: today to call you, just want to confirm with you whether the information received..
Customer: Yes, thank you!
Salesman: whats the point of that?
Customer: No, thank you!
Salesperson: if so, lets keep in touch. If you need anything in the future, please feel free to contact me.!
Customer: Yes, yes, definitely!
This follow-up call is very successful, I believe that experienced telephone sales staff will say: no!. Because experience tells us: more than 80% of customers will not take the initiative to contact you. How can you make a follow-up call that will not only promote sales, but also maintain long-term relationships and strengthen the customers good impression on us?
1. first, make sure the customer is worth your call again on the first call, otherwise its a waste of time.
2., the telephone target is very important. As in the previous example, in addition to knowing whether the customer has received the information, he should also make as many questions as possible and obtain more information. Such as:
