DIRECTORS’ REPORT The Board of Directors submit their report and audited financia l statements for the year ended 31 March 2002. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY The Company acts as an investment holding company. The principa l 15 activities of its subsidiaries and associate are set out in notes 15 and 16 16 respectively to the financial statements. RESULTS AND DIVIDENDS The results of the Group for the year ended 31 March 2002 are set out in 25 the consolidated income statement on page 25. The Board of Directors does not recommend the payment of a dividend. FINANCIAL SUMMARY A summary of the results and of the assets and liabilities of t he Group for the past five financial years ended 31 March 2002 is set out on pages 77 7778 and 78 of the annual report. FIXED ASSETS Details of significant changes in the fixed assets of the Group and the 1314 Company during the year are set out in notes 13 and 14 respectively to the financial statements.
