Lesson 32: My Favourite Record
教案
教学目标
1. 能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇:thickphotograph,lift,weigh,kilo,several。
2. 能了解如何介绍个人记录。
3. 能了解如何写信。
教学重难点
1. 掌握一些与介绍个人记录有关的重点词汇:record,farthest,win,believe,weigh,hold。
2. 向他人介绍自己的个人记录。
3. 掌握以下重点句子:
(1) It was full of her familys photographs.
(2) Some records are hard to believe!
(3) A train must weigh more than 30,000 kilos!
(4) Someday, I might have to pull a train with them!
教学准备
录音机,幻灯片,图片。
教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
Discuss the following questions
Have you ever won a competition?
What competition did you win?
How do you feel when you get a prize?
Show some pictures of different sports. Let the students discuss the questions in groups. Then ask them to present their results in front of the class. The styles are different. They can be dialogues or reports.
Step 2 Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the words you hear.
1. Dannys paper airplane flew _______ than Jennys.
2. Sandras book is full of her familys _______.
3. Li Ming won first place in the _________.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3 Reading
Read the passage and answer the following questions:
1. How large was Sandras book?
2. How heavy is the train?
3. What does Li Ming like reading?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4 Practice
Make sentences with the language points:
1. be full of
S1: This box is full of new books.
2. more than
S2: They have worked here for more than five years.
3. have to
S3: She had to wait for another day.
Step 5 Activities
Introduce what you know about records to the class. Work in groups. At the same time, the teacher walks around the classroom to see if they have any questions.
Discuss for a while, then some students come to the front to show their introductions.
Step 6 Come to Lets Do It!
Read the lesson and finish Exercise 1.
Work in pairs and talk about the record of your own.
Questions for you: What is your favourite sport? What is your own record?
Step 7 Homework
1. Finish off Exercise 2 in Lets Do It!
