Reading
教学目标
1 读懂文章,了解1999年台湾地震的基本情况。
2 培养学生根据关键词和语境猜测大意的能力。
3 理解使用过去进行时的语境。
4 教育学生学会在自然灾害中自我保护。
教学内容

词汇:shake loud shake
fear direction while

词组: a loud noise like thunder start to shake
in fear run in all directions
come down not… at all
beat fast say to oneself
pull myself slowly through find one’s way out
hear shouts from excited people move away the bricks
at last
句型: I was sleeping when the earthquake started.
People were running in all directions while pieces of glass and bricks were falling down.
I felt nervous and my heart was beating fast.
As l was trying to find my way out, I suddenly heard some noise above me.

教学步骤

Step I导入
1教师说:We’ve leant something about natural disasters and accidents. Do you remember the names of any different kinds of disasters? 引导学生回顾前一课时学习的自然灾害的名称。
2教师说:Now I’m going to show you a video. Can you tell me what kind of disaster it is? 教师播放一段地震的视频,引入地震话题。
Step II 呈现
1教师再次播放视频,引出本课中一些重要词汇或词组,同时也检查学生对本课内容的预习情况。
What can you see in the video?
(I can see some houses shaking.)
(I can see some people screaming in fear.)
(I can see some people running in all directions.)
(I can see some people trapped under the bricks and stones.)
教师随时暂停视频画面,板书学生回答时提到的生词,带领学生朗读,纠正部分学生发音。
2要求学生根据教师的解释迅速完成B1部分的练习,加深对生词的理解。
Step III 操练
l教师说:There was an earthquake in Taiwan in 1999. Thousands of people lost their lives in the earthquake. A boy called Timmy survived. Let’s listen to the story to see what happened to him. 播放课文录音。让学生看B3部分的练习,边听边判断正误。
2让学生朗读句予,并核对答案。遇到错误的句子要求学生改正,如:
