The semantic modeling and computer simulation of TCM Xiang-thinking serve as the foundation for establishing a TCM Semantic Web, and constructing the intelligent agents that aid TCM clinical practices. In essence, Xiang-thinking and ＂Metaphors＂ in cognitive linguistic have the same cognitive structure, which can be abstracted as pattern emergence and matching within a conceptual network. Semantic Models for Xiang-thinking are constructed by using Semantic Web technologies, and explained through examples from TCM theories such as Yin-yang, Five Phases, and Zang-fu.
