The bamboo flow ering brings changes in its physiological and biological components. This paper mainly summaried bamboo flow ering effects on the organic matters, minerals, hormone, chlorophyll, photosynthesis and membrane permeability. It w as concluded that the flow ering had great effects on the biochemical components, such as hormone and chlorophyll and they could be used to predict bamboo flow ering.
