Ok, let’s look at the slide please, we can conclude that air pollution, waste energy, too many cars cause traffic jam to waste much time and so on T: Maybe we can change the situation (using the slide). Let’s look at another picture. Yes, it’s a bicycle. Ok, today we will learn unit 9 on your bick. T: Today’s story is about Netherland. Do you know what’s the meaning of Netherland? Its another name is Holland . Next I’ll introduce some basic information about netherland to you. Ok ,look at the slide please, this is a map of Netherland and the city of bicycles—amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. T: and now I’ll ask you a question, What is Netherland famous for?(ok, I will tell you, they are windmill and tulip ) S: windmill and tulip T: anything else? S:,,,,,T: ok, I’ll tell you again ,it is the bike, T: Now let’s look at Netherland’s bikes (using the slide). Netherland is a very developed and rich country but in its capital -Amsterdam most streets in the city centre have a bicycle lane. The Netherlands has the highest proportion of bicycles in the world – 14 million bicycles between 15 million people! Why? Let’s read the test Return of the white bikes, you will know the reason.
