Christianity in Bing Xin’s Literary Works as Reflected in Spring Water and Superman

Abstract：Christian culture is the important part of western culture, and it had a profound effect on Chinese literature in twentieth Century. The formation of Bing Xin’s literary thought and the family environment of her childhood and her education experience are inseparable. Under the influence of this thought, a large number of Christianity information appears in her works. From this kind of information, we can not only see the relationship between Bing Xin’s creation and Christianity, but also see Bing Xin’s exploration about the meaning of life. The life of Bing Xin and Christian are closely linked, and adolescent period is the most of this time. This project aims to find close contact between Bing Xin’s creation and Christianity from the poetry of Spring Water and the fiction of Superman.

1. Introduction
In the list of celebrities in twentieth Century, Bing Xin is a famous one. As a writer who is renowned at homeland and abroad, Bing Xin wrote almost a century [1] (p16). She is a patriarch of the May 4th Movement and a pioneer in Chinese New Literature movement. Her novels, poetry, essays, childrens literature and many other aspects of the creation have made an outstanding contribution in the development of modern Chinese literature. Christian culture has a deep effect on Bing Xin’s creation. Her Christian thought in literary works multiplying days and months. Although this thought is affected by many factors -- living and learning environment, Tagore thought, Christianity and so on, the author thinks that the Christian doctrine is the most important one in the thought formation.
