Abstract : T he control tactics and the relevant softw are architectures for a microassembly w ere studied
and the requirement, main process and the human-robot interaction in the microassembly w ere ana-
lyzed in detail. A microassembly w orkstation based on the machine vision w as constructed and a look-
then-move control pattern for the micromanipulation w as proposed. Then, A three-layered control ar-
chitecture consisting of a task layer, a strategy layer and a behavior layer w as established. In order to
improve reusability, the relation betw een core classes and associations w as analyzed in softw are archi-
tectures. Finally, the classes in the task layer and strategy layer w ere mainly constructed w ith an ag-
gregation mode to finish the softw are for microassembly control. The assembly experiments of the mi-
