FANJUN hong, ANCai xian (College of Pharmacy,Xi’an Jiaotong University,Xi’an,710061,China) Abstract: Objective: To study the optimum extraction condition of flavonoids from the leaves of Hibiscus Mutabilis L.. Methods: The decoction and alcohol deposit method was used to extract flavonoids from the leaves of Hibiscus Mutabilis L.. The orthogonal design L9 34 was used to study the optimum extraction condition. Results: The optimum extraction process was as follows extracted with 16 times the amount of the solvent volume water for 3 times and with each time for half of hour. Then the liquids were condensed until the relative density was 1.15 60 and the alcohol added made the alcohol concentration be 60% in the liquids. Finally the liquids were disposed 24 hours under the cold storage. Conclusion: The method was operated simply and fitted to produce by the industry.
