Methods: from 2011 December ~2012 year in December 70 cases of pregnant women in our hospital, for the observation group, the modified seat used in the second stage of labor, 60 cases of pregnant women were selected using the conventional position childbirth, as control group, were compared between the two groups in the time of the second stage of labor, postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal the Apgar score was born. Results: in the observation group were the second stage of labor time was shorter than the control group, the rate of vaginal delivery and cesarean section were significantly lower than those in control group, the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group of neonatal asphyxia, the difference has statistical significance (P lt; 0.05). Conclusion: the modified seat can significantly shorten the time of the second stage of labor, improve the natural delivery rate, conducive to maternal and child health, is worth the clinical promotion.
