That is a new challenge for the future development path of low carbon city in China. However, the low carbon city in China has different emphases, diverse content and forms. So, we need to put different levels of low carbon cities in the same evaluation standard, more experience in the construction of low carbon city of integration, in order to guide more city plan of action. The Chinese evaluation index system of low-carbon city construction is composed by 30 indexes, related to energy consumption, carbon emissions, the main field directly related of city in industrial sector, transportation, architecture, and waste sector. The purpose of this paper is to provide a framework and practical guidance to the construction of low carbon city in China. Keyword： sustainable development; low-carbon city; indicators; benchmark
