Inphilosophy,justiceisabigandyetflexibleconcept．Thrasymacusseesitastheinterestofhtestrongerparty；
whiletheInstituteforCreationResearchseesitasbeinglegalandethical，restorativeandpenalwithregardsto
humanrights．Political，legal，religious，socialetc．，areformsofjusticebutinhtiswork，theauhtorsareconcemed
witheconomicjustice．First，theauthorssaythattheNigeriansocietyisindisorderasaresultofentrenched
economicinjusticepartlyinspiredbyitsmulti-ethniciyt andmulti—religiousity．Theauthorstherefore，investigate
whatconstituteseconomicjusticeinanationlikeNigeria：Isitequitabledistributionofnationalwealthto
individuals，groups，andregions?Or,isitthedistributionofnationalwealthproportionatetothecontributionsof
individuals，groups，andregionstohtenationaltreasury,orstillthedistributionofnationalwealthaccordingto
politicalpowerblocswhichfallwithinregionalandethniclines?Theaim ofthispaperistoestablishthatnomatter
whichdefinitiononeadopts，therehavebeensomeregionsinNigerianamelyNigerDeltaortheSouth—Southand
southeastregionswhichaccountforover80％ ofnationalincomeinoilrevenuebutwhichcontinuetoexperience
sustainedeconomicinjusticeinthedistributionofnationalwealth，federalprojects，basicamenitiesetc．，sincethe
endofthecivilwarin1970．Inthesocietalstrata，thewageearnersareatthereceivingendofgovernment’sunjust
taxationsystem whichenablesthehighnet—worthindividualstopaylessandmosttimesevadetaxationontheir
sutpendousincome．Inanotherscenario，poorcitizensareunjustlytreatedinthesharingofnationalwealthwhen
