Flow Analysis—OSPF Before You Begin This tutorial can be done independently or as part of a suite. You can do it as part of the suite if you have either of the following: SP Guru eXpress Data Import, NetDoctor, and Flow Analysis If you can complete the tutorial as part of the suite, do the tutorials in the following order: 1) eXpress Data Import tutorial 2) NetDoctor tutorial. If you have not completed this tutorial and the eXpress Data Import tutorial, do them now. 3) Flow Analysis OSPF tutorial (this tutorial) If you are doing this tutorial independently, you need to configure the mod_dirs and traffic_archive_dir preferences. To configure mod_dirs to include the required models, do the following. 1 Choose Edit Preferences. 2 Select the mod_dirs preference by typing mod_dirs in the Find field and clicking on the Find button. 3 Display the contents of the mod_dirs preference by clicking in the Value column. 4 Verify that the following path is included: release\models\tutorial_ref\module. If it is not, add it. release is the release directory where the software is installed. On the Windows platform, the default location is C:\Program Files\install_dir\release. 5 Close the mod_dirs preference dialog box and the Preferences dialog box. 6 Choose File Manage Model Files Refresh Model Directories to update the model directories. To configure the traffic_archive_dir preference, do the following: 1 Select the traffic_archive_dir preference by typing it in the Find field and clicking the Find button. 2 Open the traffic_archive_dir dialog box byclicking in the Value column. Verify that this path is included: release\models\std\tutorial_req\module\traf fic If necessary, insert a new line and enter the path. 3 Close the dialog box, then close the Preferences dialog box.
