It is designed based on the traditional princip le ofm icros- trip hybrid ring. By em ploying coupling m icrostrip-slotline configuration, its bandw idth is mi proved. M icrostrip-slotline T- junction is used to ach ieve the in-phase and out-phase coup ling characteristic. The operation bandw idth of th is m agic-T is from 4. 3 to 5. 6 GH z centered at 5 GH z, w hich is over 25% for return loss low er than - 10 dB. Furthermore, it is also shown that its insertion loss is low er than 1 dB and the isolation between each port pairs are lower than - 30 dB and - 20 dB over the operation frequency band respectively.
