In other parts of our country including Beijing ,however,it is known as “qipao”,which has a history behind it. 关于旗袍的传说 从前镜泊湖畔有个满族渔家姑娘，因为张的脸黑俊俏，心灵手巧，人称她为黑妞。她觉得床这古代传下来的肥大衣裙，打渔不方便，就自己剪裁了一种连衣带群多扣拌长衫，既省布合体，又方便劳动。后来，她被选进宫中封为黑娘娘，因为过不惯宫廷生活，穿不惯又肥又大的山河地理裙，就穿起从前自己剪裁的多扣拌长衫。皇上认为她擅自改变宫廷服饰有罪，就赶她出宫，并一脚踢中她心后而死去。关东满人听到黑娘娘死了的消息，大哭了三天，还穿起她剪裁的那种长袍来纪念她。后来，妇女们认为方便，穿得人就多了，就叫它为旗袍。说来也奇怪，凡穿上旗袍的妇女都变得十分苗条，俊美，据说那是心灵手巧的黑娘娘在暗中帮助她们打扮。 The origin The Cheongsam came from the Manchus （满族人）who grew out of ancient Nuzhen tribes（女真部落） In the early 17th centry,Nurhachi（努尔哈赤），a great political and military strategist,unified the various Nuzhen tribes and set up the Eight Banners Systerm（八旗制度） Over the years,a collarless,tube-shaped gown was developed,which was worn by both men and women.That is the embryo（萌芽） of the Qipao. Under the Banners Systerm,Qipao is also called as “banner ”gown The history of Cheongsam The Cheongsam came from the Manchus （满族）who grew out of ancient Nvzhen（女真） tribes. Qiipao became popular among ladies of the royal family in the Qing dynasty. In the 1920s,Qipao become popular throught China. In the 1930s,wearing a Qipao became a fashion among women in the whole China. Starting from the 1940s,Qipao become closer-fitting and more practical. Today,with its variety of styles,Qipao shows its charm at many markets. More and more women in China appreciate its beauty.
