“How old are you?” 教学设计

1.???Knowledge aims:
( 1 )??Students can understand and speak out the new words according to the situations: old , look, too.
( 2 )To enable the Students to use the main sentences clearly to communicate with their partners: A: How old are you? B: I am nine…
2. Ability aims:
(1)???Students can know how to ask partner s’ age and answer their age.
(2) Let students know that it is impolite to ask adult’s age in western country.
(3) To develop students’ interest in English
3. Emotion aims:
(1)????Learning by playing and doing.
(2)???To foster students’ consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.
(3) Let students understand that it is never too old to learn.????????????
Difficult and Important teaching points:
(1) Students can pronounce and master the new words clearly:
Old , look, too.
(2)Students can use these sentences: “A: How old are you? B: I am nine…..” to talk with partners in daily life.

Teaching Steps:
Step1??? ?Warming-up
1. Song: Good morning, Sam
(Becky sings the song go into the classroom with happy face. Let Ss sing it together with clapping their hands)
2. Oral questions:
T: How are you?
S1: I am?fine. Thank you. And how are you?
T: I am fine, too .
Ss: I am fine .Thank you .
3. Game : Try to guess number from1-12
T: How many apples ?Ss: You can guess one ,three four…ok?
T: You are so lucky! Here is your present Ss: Thank you!
Step 2 Presentation
1. Teach new words
T: Today is Sam’s birthday! Do you want to have a look Sam’s birthday?
(1) Teach new words look like this :
/∪/ look look look( show card and make the “look” action)
(2) According to my hand movement to read.
(3) Ask Ss to be small teacher to do the action, other Ss follow to read.
(4) Use PPT to show the words : look good foot
(5) Show PPT to have a look Sam’ birthday
T: Now let’s count ! How many candles? Ss: Nine.T: so
