Purpose This document is to provide a general guideline of cosmetic for telephone department.. Scope This guideline is applicable to all telecom products or incoming material. Inspection Guide. Inspection should be performed by viewing the unit at a distance of 30cm within 10S. And under normal fluorescent light. The unit under inspecting should be rotated +/-45 deg. With respect to normal view. This document is a guideline, any conditions not listed in this document should be judged by QA supervising personnel. Surface classification Primary surface The most visible surface, e.g. handset front or rear cabinet, keypads, display, base top cabinet. Secondary surface Less visible surface than primary surface but visible use, e.g. sides of handset cabinet or base cabinet, antenna area. Third surface Which is not visible in normal use, e.g. bottom of the base cabinet, battery compartment. Inspection criteria The criteria stated below 5.2~5.7 are based on the primary surface, for the secondary and the third surface, the length/size or number of defects should be doubled or tripled respectively, but all defects should be 10cm apart in the same surface. Scratches All deep scratches (can feel scratch when rub with finger) are not acceptable.
