Finite elem ent analysis of tire/pavem ent noise

Abstract Themechanism of tire/pavement noise w as analysed first of all, then fin ity element w as used to
smi ulate the noise in order to study tire/pavem ent noise. The main pavem ent factors include porosity, depth of
texture, depth of pavement and young. s modulus. The correlation betw een noise and pavem ent factors w as d is-
played. The result show ed that the porosity w as themost mi portant factor among the pavement factors, and it had
a optmi al value. The effect curve leveled offw hen depth of texture and depth of pavem ent reached the criticalva-l
ue. The young. s modu lus did not affect the noise.
