AbstractThedevelopmentofthescienceandtechnologyisbringingforwardhigherrequestforradarfrequencysource.Synthesizerswithlowphasenoise,highlypurespectrum,highresolutionandfastfrequencyjumpspeedhavedominatingdevelopmentdirectionofthefrequencysynthesis technology.Thepaperwas basedonthegoaloflowphasenoise,highresolutiontostudytheradarfrequencysource, anddesignthehardwarecircuit ofthesystem.Thispaperdescribedtheworkingprincipleandcharacteristic,sourcesofspurioussignalsandcharacteristicsofoutputspectrumofdirectdigitalfrequencysynthesizer.Andpresentedthebasicstructure,phasemodel,frequencyresponse andperformanceanalysisfornoiseandspurofphaselockedloop.SomehybridfrequencysynthesismethodsforDDS+PLLwhichusedusuallyarecontrasted witheachotherinthispaper.ByusingoftheadvantagesthehybridfrequencysynthesistechnologyDDS+PLL,combinatingwithtechnicalspecificationswhichwasdecidedbysystem,andthroughlookingupquantityofcoherentdatasheet,thispaperselectedexcellentDDSandPLLchipsanddevelopedalowphasenoise,highresolutionfrequencysynthesizerbyadoptedtheintegrativefrequencysynthesistechnologyofDDS+PLL+Upconversion+Doubler,Finally,theschematicdiagramofeveryfunctionblockoftheDDS+PLLdepartmentisgiveninthe paper.Inaddition,modularizationideaisadoptedinthispapertodesignthefrequencysynthesizersystem,furthersimplifiedthecomplexityofthecircuitdesign,andimprovedtheefficiencyofthedesign.Andformicrowavefilters,asmart design method is utilized in this paper,which takes full advantageof computerasasimulation anddesignmeans.Thismethod avoids heavy andcomplicatedcomputationwhichisadoptedbytraditionaldesignmethod.Inthisway,itimproveddesignveracity,andshortendesignperiods.Finally,thesimulationandanalysisoftheperformanceofthekeycircuitof DDS+PLL,showsthatitisfeasibleforthefrequencysynthesizerdesignedaccordingtotheschemeinthepapertobeimplementedtohardware.
